To add a cookie consent popup in WordPress use a plugin
Method 1: Using a Plugin
This is the easiest and recommended method if you are not familiar with coding.
Steps to Install a Cookie Consent Plugin:
1. Login to Your WordPress Dashboard:
•Go to your WordPress admin area (e.g., yourwebsite.com/wp-admin).
2. Install the Cookie Consent Plugin:
•From the left sidebar, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
•Search for a “cookie consent” plugin. Some popular ones are:
•Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR / CCPA.
•GDPR Cookie Consent.
•Cookiebot.
•Click Install Now next to the plugin you want to install, and then activate it.
3. Configure the Plugin:
•After activating the plugin, you’ll usually see a new menu item in the WordPress sidebar (like “Cookie Notice” or “GDPR Cookie Consent”).
•Click on this menu item to access the plugin’s settings.
•Configure the settings according to your needs. Most plugins will let you:
•Customize the text of the consent message.

•Customize the button text.
